Scheme 1: CAN-bus multi-master full-duplex solution
The nodes A-C in the figure can transmit full-duplex data at the same time. After the data is separated and reorganized by the CAN-bus Ethernet switch, it is forwarded to the virtual serial ports COM2, COM3 and COM4 respectively through the Ethernet. These virtual serial ports are completely independent, and there will be no data mixing and conflict problems.
Scheme 2: Use CAN-bus to expand RS485 bus
The RS485 bus often encounters problems such as insufficient number of nodes and insufficient transmission distance in the actual use process. CAN-bus uses the same 2-wire copper transmission method as RS485, but its performance is much better than RS485 bus in all aspects.
With CAN-bus as the backbone of the network and RS485 as the branch, the scale of the RS485 network can be greatly expanded without changing the existing wiring, and the reliability of the RS485 network can be improved.
With CAN-bus Ethernet switch, CAN-bus to RS485 and virtual serial port technology, this solution can be directly deployed without modifying any software and hardware.
Scheme 3: CAN-bus, Ethernet, UART transparent data transmission
This solution can simultaneously unify CAN-bus devices and RS232/RS485 devices into more Ethernet. Making full use of the high-speed transmission, centralized management, and low-cost optical fiber transmission of Ethernet can greatly improve the overall level of the system.
Scheme 4: CAN-bus, UART transparent data transmission
This solution can connect standard CAN-bus devices and serial devices with various interfaces into a unified whole with CAN-bus. All devices support CAN-bus network segment division, which supports dividing several nodes into a network segment.
In addition, this solution is also used to establish a CAN-bus system without a computer, and the main embedded device communicates with each node of the CAN-bus through UART.
The traditional RS485 bus can also use this solution directly, and it can be directly upgraded to CAN-bus at a low cost.
